Prefrontal cortex and mediodorsal thalamus reduced connectivity is associated with spatial working memory impairment in rats with inflammatory pain

Multielectrode recordings in awake behaving rats show that inflammatory pain reduces working memory performance and disrupts the functional connectivity between the prefrontal cortex and the mediodorsal thalamus.
