Blind people with no conscious light perception may still have light input to their circadian pacemaker despite the loss of light input to their conscious visual system. These data support the evidence that light therapy may be proposed to blind with circadian disorders as well as melatonin as tools to entrain the biological clock of abnormally entrained to 24h or free-running blind patients.
