La plainte hypocondriaque et ses lentours

Hypochondria is likely one of the disorder the more difficult to cope with, in matter of psychopathology or of treatment. Even if not well accepted by medical staff, it is nevertheless particularly frequent in elderly. It shares with melancholia numerous common characteristics, even if its links to culpability are rather different. It presents a singular relationship with the body, and by that way, cannot let indifferent a medical practitioner. We know, owing to Moliere, that nothing can alter an image of complaining patient, even though build on an absurd fake disease. Treating an illness consists on helping patients to like a foe disguise as a presumed disease rather than to heal it, so feeding misunderstanding between them and their caregivers.
