Schémas précoces d'inadaptation et dépression chez des sujets âgés

The study was lead on a population of elderly subjects. Two main goals can be drawn: to study early maladaptive schema from Young model using the schema questionnaire and to analyze potential links between depression and schemas. The young questionnaire (YSQ-SF) and two other depression questionnaires (BDI-II, GDS) have been administrated to 33 elderly subjects. The results show that elderly subjects present as many schema as a referee student population. Also, depression and early schema are tightly correlated. A linear regression revealed that the depression score cannot be significantly explained by a specific schema. It is important to keep in mind methodological limitations to discuss these results. It is highly recommended to properly adapt Young questionnaire to elderly population for further studies.
