Lien entre schémas précoces inadaptés et stress perçu

According to Young, early maladaptive schemas developed during childhood are relatively stable. Once activated, these early maladaptive schemas could influence reality perceptions and create cognitive distortions. The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between early maladaptive schemas and stress perception. One hundred and thirty-two students completed the attitudes questionnaire (SQII) and the perceived stress scale (PSS14). Results show an important relationship between early maladaptive schemas and perceived stress, as well as a determinant influence of fear of abandonment on stress perception. In conclusion, early maladaptive schemas influence stress perception, however, further studies are necessary to analyse the eventual role of stress perception as an activator or reinforcement of early maladaptive schemas.
