Gestion comportementale de l'agressivité : un cas clinique

Aetiologies of aggressive behaviour are as much biological as environmental. On the contrary, treatments are few, most often intuitive and empirical. Here is a case report of behavioural management of aggressiveness. A lack of assertiveness creating external attribution of a feeling of frustration would facilitate aggressiveness. We illustrate this hypothesis step by step through the treatment of a patient in a ward for difficult patients. Three lines of therapy are developed: firstly, develop cognitive insight using a diary; secondly, manage frustration by positive reinforcement; thirdly, develop competence in assertiveness.
