Un schéma général de l'anxiété

Many researchers have proposed specific explanatory models for Anxiety Disorder. Among them, are Wells and Carter, Ladouceur, Craske (Generalized Anxiety Disorder), Goldstein and Chambless, Sheehan, Clark, Ehlers and Margraf and Roth, and Cottraux (Panic Disorder). Conversely, the integrated model proposed by Barlow suggests a valid general diagram for all Anxiety Disorders. After a brief and simplified description of these models, a “General Schema of Anxiety” is presented that attempts to explain the triggering process of an anxiety crisis, of its favourable or unfavourable development, thus permitting one to understand the genesis of some Anxiety Disorders.
