L’apport des épreuves projectives – approche psychanalytique – au bilan psychologique de l’enfant et de l’adolescent. Bilan de 30 ans de travaux

RésuméL’article présente les principaux travaux cliniques, méthodologiques et théoriques réalisés ces 30 dernières années en matière d’interprétation psychanalytique des épreuves projectives et leurs apports au bilan psychologique de l’enfant et de l’adolescent. Leur fonction d’interface entre les perspectives quantitatives à visée objectivante liées à l’utilisation de la mesure d’une part et les perspectives cliniques visant le respect de l’originalité et de la singularité du sujet d’autre part est soulignée. Leurs apports spécifiques à l’étude du fonctionnement psychique sont ensuite dégagés ce qui permet de souligner leur pertinence dans le domaine de l’évaluation diagnostique et pronostique en psychopathologie de l’enfant et de l’adolescent mais aussi leur intérêt dans l’étude des interactions entre cognition et « affectivité », perception et fantasmatisation. Les complexités des modalités interprétatives bien éloignées d’une simple lecture hasardeuse de contenus sont ensuite rappelées. L’article se termine par un hommage à N. Rausch de Traubenberg la fondatrice de la discipline en France.

This article presents the principal clinical, methodological and theoretical works carried out these past 30 years concerning the psychoanalytical interpretation of projective tests and their contribution to the psychological evaluation of children and adolescents. Emphasis is given to their function as an interface between the quantitative perspectives which prone objectivity obtained through the use of measurements, and respect for the originality and the singularity of the subject being examined from a clinical perspective. Their specific contributions to the study of psychic functioning are then exposed, making it possible to emphasize their pertinence in the field of diagnostic and prognostic evaluations in child and adolescent psychopathology, but also, their usefulness in the study of interactions between cognition and “affectivity”, perception and “fantization”. The complexities of interpretative modalities, quite different from the simple, haphazard reading of contents, are then recalled. The article ends with an homage to N. Rausch de Traubenberg, the founder of the discipline in France.
