Le groupe d’observation du bébé… en attendant l’arrivée du bébé

RésuméLes candidats à une formation à l’observation du bébé selon la méthode d’Esther Bick ont souvent comme représentation que le bébé sera là, qu’ils seront d’emblée in situ avec l’enfant et sa famille. Ainsi, très peu imaginent le temps d’avant l’observation, le temps avant le bébé, le temps de recherche, le temps relationnel avec le ou les intermédiaires… ce temps d’attente où l’on se réunit avant de trouver la famille et le bébé. Dès cette période, la formation est déjà engagée puisque les participants vivent et éprouvent l’émergence du désir d’enfant avec son lot de résurgences personnelles et de phénomènes groupaux. Prenant l’exemple d’un groupe de participants composé d’une observatrice, de 11 auditrices et d’une formatrice, nous centrerons ici notre intérêt sur le désir d’enfant évoluant au fil des semaines et des mois. À plusieurs voix, nous tenterons de mettre en lumière les enjeux intrapsychique, interpersonnels et groupaux en lien avec le désir d’enfant dans un groupe de formation confronté au berceau vide.

The candidates for infant observation training by the Esther Bick method often have the idea that the baby will be there, that they will be in situ with the child and his family from the start. Thus, very few imagine the time before the observation, the time before the baby, the time for research, the time for relations with the intermediaries… this waiting period where the group meets before coming together with the family and baby. At this stage, the training has already begun, since the participants live and test the emergence of desire for the child with their share of personal resurgences and group phenomena. Using the example of a group of participants made up of an observer, 11 auditors and a trainer, we will concentrate here on the desire for the child which evolves over the weeks and months. As several voices, we will try to clarify the intrapsychic, interpersonal and group issues linked with the desire for the child in a training group confronted by an empty cradle.
