Intérêt de l'évaluation clinique en hôpital de jour pour jeunes enfants

This longitudinal study examined in three children (ages 4-7) during a psychiatric day hospitalization. This study aims to show the extraordinary evolution, observed by psychologic evaluation, of intellectual, cognitive, behavioral and affective domains that a lengthy, intensive and individualized hospitalization might produce if the relations with the family are of good quality. The study indicates the importance of an early detection and of the work with the families for them to be able to accept this type of orientation. Finally, we discuss differential diagnosis of autism and attachment disorders, make hypothesis about prognosis and consider the therapeutic methods.
