Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of classic Kaposi's sarcoma in Peru

Classic KS is quite common in Peru with sporadic cases found throughout the country and some clustering in the coastal region. Classic KS in Peru has a clinical presentation that is very similar, but not identical, to the classic KS described in the Mediterranean region, exhibiting some special clinical and epidemiological characteristics with a nodular, nonsymmetric presentation that usually affects the lower extremities.
