Adolescents douloureux chroniques déscolarisés : expérience de l'hospitalisation à temps plein en soins/études

The internal medicine unit for youth of the Edouard-Rist clinic in Paris cares for chronically hurting dropout teenagers as part of its “health and education” project. The project is based on the assessment and treatment of the pain as well as on returning to school. The main purpose of this article is to present this “health and education” project from the dual point of view of the medical practitioner and the psychologist. It also aims to describe the teenage sample population that have taken part in the project thanks to retrospective analysis of one hundred youth cases and the description of a case report.
