Première caractérisation des faciès céramiques néolithiques de la région du Gobaad en République de Djibouti. Les sites d'Hara-Idé 2 et d'Asa-Koma (As-Eyla, district de Dikhil)

The research engaged since 1982 on the sites of Gobaad region in Republic of Djibouti within the framework of the program entitled “First society of production in the Horn of Africa” contributes to the characterization of a still unknown chronocultural context in this zone. This article presents the first exhaustive analysis of abundant and significant ceramic sets coming from Neolithic sites. The description of these assemblages confirms for the moment being the existence of at least two distinct productions, one for which the site of Hara-Idé 2 constitutes the principal reference and one recognized in the major settlement of Asa-Koma, the only site to have undergone isotopic dating.
