Src kinases catalytic activity regulates proliferation, migration and invasiveness of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells

► SFKs selective inhibitors regulate migration and invasion in MDA-MB-231 cells. ► Dasatinib and PP2 inhibit cell proliferation at the G1 phase of the cell cycle. ► SU6656 blocks cytokinesis inducing polyploidy and multinucleation. ► SU6656 is a dual kinase inhibitor (SFKs and Aurora B kinase) in MDA-MB-231 cells. ► GSEA revealed that SU6656 significantly reduces the Src gene pathway.
