Simultaneous quantification of the viral antigens hemagglutinin and neuraminidase in influenza vaccines by LC-MSE

► A new method has been adapted for analysis of influenza vaccines. ► A new method was optimized for optimal reproducibility and ruggedness. ► A new method was verified with NIST Reference Standard and model proteins. ► A new method was applied to monovalent (pandemic) and trivalent (annual) vaccines. ► Results were compared with standard methods (HPLC, Western blot, SRID). ► Results provide quantitation of HA, NA and other proteins.
