Provider perceptions of barriers and facilitators of HPV vaccination in a high-risk community

► We examined provider perspectives on factors influencing HPV vaccination. ► Providers overwhelmingly focused on parental beliefs as barriers to vaccination. ► Providers reported parental misconception that adolescents do not need vaccinations. ► Perceived parental concerns that the vaccine will promote sexual activity were prevalent. ► Other barriers included lack of immunization records and difficult-to-reach clients.
