Establishing China's national standards of antigen content and neutralizing antibody responses for evaluation of enterovirus 71 (EV71) vaccines

► Standards of antigen and neutralizing antibody for new EV71 vaccine were developed. ► These standards meet the specifications of WHO. ► The antigen standard was used to calibrate vaccine samples from several producers. ► The antibody reference panels effectively reduced the assay discrepancy. ► Standards are valuable for antigen content and immunogenictiy evaluation of vaccines.
