Development of PVD coatings for PEMFC metallic bipolar plates

► TiN, Graphit-iC™, TiN + C and Au coatings on a 316L foil were produced by CFUBMS. ► TiN + C coatings have a lower interfacial contact resistance (ICR) than TiN. ► TiN + C coatings show better corrosion resistance than TiN. ► TiN + C and 10 nm Au coatings are good candidates for further in-situ research.
