Our findings demonstrated a globally correct diagnostic approach, but with certain differences which might be usefully amended. The use of a follow-up chart within the patient's medical file where the essential diagnostic elements are noted would appear to be a good solution for facilitating application of the guidelines and regular reassessment of the diagnostic approach.
