► We compared round goby use of Great Lakes wetland and non-wetland habitats. ► Small, immature round gobies dominated rocky, sparsely vegetated wetlands. ► No trends in CPUE, size or maturity within sandy, moderately vegetated wetlands. ► Round gobies avoided wetlands with extremely dense vegetation.
