Relative demand by double-crested cormorants and anglers for fish production from lakes on Manitoulin Island, Lake Huron

► Fish production was partitioned among size classes targeted by cormorants and anglers. ► Annual angler harvest and cormorant consumption were similar on a per area basis. ► Anglers harvested a large proportion of their preferred fish production. ► Cormorants consumed a relatively smaller proportion of medium size fish production. ► Cormorant consumption exacerbates angling stress in fisheries.
