“Multivariate Approximation: Theory and Applications”

This introductory paper describes the main topics of this special issue, dedicated to Leonardo Traversoni, known at the international level as the promoter of the conference series “Multivariate Approximation: Theory and Applications”, to celebrate his 60th birthday.
