Geochemistry of cold seepage-impacted sediments: Per-ascensum or per-descensum trace metal enrichment?

► Late Jurassic cold seeps are examined for trace metals and benthic forams. ► Specific enrichments in Sr, Mo, As and Sb are observed. ► They are induced by ascending fluids and/or particulate shuttle processes. ► Benthic foram populations were stressed, possibly by As accumulation.
