Geochronology of the most recent activity in the Sabatini Volcanic District, Roman Province, central Italy

►New 40Ar/39Ar analyses put time constraints on the most recent SVD eruptive activity. ►SVD volcanism maintained a typical areal character through the whole history. ►The most recent eruptive activity in the SVD took place at least up to 90 ka. ►The SVD has to be considered a dormant, rather than extinct, volcanic district.
