U-Pb and 39Ar/40Ar data constraining the ages of the source, emplacement and recrystallization/cooling events from late- to post-D3 Variscan granites of the Gouveia area, central Portugal

► Inherited zircon from Gouveia granites is mainly Neoproterozoic. ► The most probable source for the granites is Gondwanan sediments. ► (Re)crystallized monazite is younger than the coexisting igneous zircon. ► Muscovite records either Ar loss or cooling after emplacement at ~ 286 Ma.
