The Paleoproterozoic Kaminak dykes, Hearne craton, western Churchill Province, Nunavut, Canada: Preliminary constraints on their age and petrogenesis

► The setting and field characteristics of the Kaminak dykes are described. ► A robust and precise U-Pb baddeleyite age of 2497.6 ± 1.1 Ma is presented. ► Final evolution controlled via fractionation of Pl + Cpx ± Ol. ► Petrochemistry indicates derivation from depleted mantle and lithospheric mantle. ► Distinct from Matachewan and Mistassini swarms of Superior craton.
