Cover sequences at the northern margin of the Antongil Craton, NE Madagascar

► In NE Madagascar, two cover sequences rest on Achaean to Neoproterozoic crust. ► Older Andrarona Group low-grade metasediments, maximum depositional age = 1875 ± 8 Ma (U-Pb zircon). ► Newly defined Masindray tonalite of underlying Antongil craton dated at 2355 ± 11 Ma. ► Younger unmetamorphosed Ampohafana Formation probably Cretaceous in age.
