⺠TAGs from Dracunculus vulgaris plant oil contain odd-numbered Ï-phenylalkanoic acids. ⺠TAGs from bacterium Rhodococcus erythropolis have even-numbered Ï-phenylalkanoic acids. ⺠One hundred and thirty-nine molecular species of natural TAGs were identified including positional isomers. ⺠TAGs containing Ï-phenylalkanoic acids are antioxidants and radical scavengers. ⺠D. vulgaris oil is more active due to the presence of polyunsaturated FAs.
