Paraptosis-like cell death induced by yessotoxin

► We investigate cell death induced by yessotoxin (YTX) in BC3H1 myoblast cell lines. ► 100 nM YTX induces paraptosis-like cell death in these cell lines. ► We observed morphological and biochemical features resembling paraptotic cell death. ► MAPK signalling pathway is activated under YTX treatment.
