Luteolin induced G2 phase cell cycle arrest and apoptosis on non-small cell lung cancer cells

► Luteolin induced apoptosis on A549 cells through a mitochondria-dependent apoptosis passway. ► Luteolin induced apoptosis via both IκBα/NF-κB signal passway and JNK passway. ► Luteolin could inhibit TNFα induced NF-κB translocation on A549 cells. ► Luteolin caused G2 phase cell cycle arrest on A549 by inhibition the expression of cyclin A and phosphorylation of CDC2.
