L'atelier d'écriture : une indication pour diminuer les troubles du comportement dans la maladie d'Alzheimer et maladies apparentées au stade évolué

From empirical observations of a writing workshop implemented within a long-term nursing home, this study shows that writing in a workshop can reduce the intensity of behavioural disorders in patients with Alzheimer's and related diseases at the moderate to the severe stages. Breaking from a deficit perspective of the disorders of Alzheimer's and related diseases, this research integrates the psychoanalytic and phenomenological points of view to define the conceptual foundations of the writing workshop. The results provide additional evidence for indications of non-drug approach in taking care of behavioural disorders.
