Atmospheric deposition of trace elements recorded in snow from the Mt. Nyainqêntanglha region, southern Tibetan Plateau

► We present one year of snowpit data of 11 trace elements at Mt. Nyainqêntanglha. ► There is a heterogeneous distribution of trace elements in the snow chemistry. ► Our study region is sensitive to anthropogenic emissions of trace elements. ► Caution is necessary when reconstructing atmospheric deposition of trace elements.
