Effect of sewage nutrients on algal production, biomass and pigments in tropical tidal creeks

► We examine the response of the algal community to sewage nutrients in tropical tidal creeks. ► Phytoplankton productivity and biomass increased in response to sewage. ► Benthic microalgal biomass increased but productivity did not. ► Algal pigment proportions did not change with sewage inputs.
