Preparation of low water-sorption lightweight aggregates from harbor sediment added with waste glass

► Harbor sediment is recycled as lightweight aggregates (LWAs). ► LWAs' density and water sorption are reduced with glass additive containing sodium. ► Sodium helps formation of low-viscosity viscous phase to capture gases for bloating. ► Higher temperature results in less dense LWAs because of richer bloating gases.
