Determination of deployment specific chemical uptake rates for SPMD and PDMS using a passive flow monitor

► We validate the use of the passive flow monitor for use in correcting passive sampler uptake rates. ► Uptake of herbicides by SPMD and PDMS passive samplers has been modelled when exposed to up to 24 cm−1. ► The described method is a valuable alternative for the in situ calibration of passive sampler devices.
