Differential concentration of Technetium-99 (99Tc) in common intertidal molluscs with different food habits

► 99Tc-concentrations were measured in fucoids and four mollusc species. ► Study was done in an intertidal locality on the southwestern coast of Norway. ► The results showed that the 99Tc-concentrations differed between the mollusc species. ► Fucoids at the locality showed very high 99Tc-concentrations. ► Highest 99Tc-concentrations in the herbivorous gastropods Patella vulgata and Littorina obtusata.
