CYP1A mRNA expression in redeye mullets (Liza haematocheila) from Bohai Bay, China

► A part of CYP1A gene in redeye mullet was isolated and sequenced. ► A real time qPCR was developed for quantification of CYP1A mRNA normalized to β-actin. ► CYP1A mRNA level was higher in redeye mullets from Dashentang compared to Nandaihe. ► The redeye mullet can be used as a sentinel species for monitoring EDCs in coastal environment.
