Ochratoxin A and ochratoxigenic black Aspergillus species in Tunisian grapes cultivated in different geographic areas

► Ochratoxigenic fungi and Ochratoxin A from wine and table grapes in Tunisia. ► Aspergillus carbonarius unique OTA producing fungi. ► High incidence of OTA contaminated grape samples. ► The most contaminated grapes coming from the Northern regions with moderate temperatures and high relative humidity. ► A. carbonarius and OTA rarely detected in grapes from the region with an arid climate.
