Seismic observations of Redoubt Volcano, Alaska - 1989-2010 and a conceptual model of the Redoubt magmatic system

► Two major eruptions in 1989-1990 and 2009 have been observed seismically at Redoubt. ► The 1989-1990 and 2009 eruptions shared had many similar seismic characteristics. ► The 2009 eruption was preceded by an increase in Deep Long-Period events. ► Efforts to forecast the 2009 eruption were largely successful.
