Late Mesozoic bimodal volcanic rocks in the Jinniu basin, Middle-Lower Yangtze River Belt (YRB), East China: Age, petrogenesis and tectonic implications

► New zircon U-Pb ages of bimodal volcanic rocks in the Jinniu Basin for Early Cretaceous. ► The mafic rocks are NEBA, but not spatially or temporally relationships with adakitic rocks. ► The mafic and felsic rocks have similar geochemical and isotopic characteristics. ► These bimodal rocks in a back-arc extensional tectonic regime.
