Dating low-temperature deformation by 40Ar/39Ar on white mica, insights from the Argentera-Mercantour Massif (SW Alps)

► Inherited deformed white mica preserve their initial 40Ar/39Ar crystallisation age. ► Deformed minerals cannot provide the time of deformation. ► Neocrystallisation argon age provide a reliable age of deformation-fluid activity. ► Si-phengite can be used as a good geobarometer in the water-saturated domain.
