Dating coeval mafic magmatism and ultrahigh temperature metamorphism in the Anápolis-Itauçu Complex, Central Brazil

► Damolândia and Taquaral intrusions correspond to layered mafic-ultramafic complexes. ► Coupled dissolution-reprecipitation process partially erased zircon U-Pb system. ► Hf-in-zircon revealed that crystals have formed in one single episode. ► Mafic magmatism is associated with the development of the UHT assemblages. ► Prograde-to-peak UHT stage occurred earlier than previously suggested.
