Temporal and spatial variations in hydro-climatic extremes in the Lake Victoria basin

► Significant decreasing trends were observed in the 1930s, 1970s and 1980s. ► Significant trends were common in the 1960s, late 1980s to the most recent years. ► More significant trends were found in the OND season than in the MAM season. ► Relationship between trends in precipitation and in flows was found. ► Areas with significant trends concentrated in the North to North Eastern.
