An 17O record of late Neoproterozoic glaciation in the Kimberley region, Western Australia

► Sulfate 17O depletion found in a Marinoan cap dolostone sequence in NW Australia. ► New host rock and host mineral for non-mass-dependently 17O-depleted sulfate. ► No 17O anomaly in a coeval Moonlight Valley cap sequence at a different locality. ► The Egan glaciation is younger than the Marinoan Moonlight Valley glaciation.
