Development and validation of a sensitive enantiomeric separation method for new single enantiomer drug levornidazole by CD-capillary electrophoresis

► An enantioseparation CE method was developed for the analysis of levornidazole. ► The method is rapid and total analysis time is 7 min, which is much faster than the LC method (65 min). ► The method is quite sensitive and determines chiral impurity at a 0.05% level. ► A short end injection was applied to decrease the analysis time.
