A novel extraction technique based on carbon nanotubes reinforced hollow fiber solid/liquid microextraction for the measurement of piroxicam and diclofenac combined with high performance liquid chromatography

► CNTs were held in the wall pores of hollow fiber as sorbent using the sol-gel technology. ► 1-octanol was placed in the pores and lumen of hollow fiber as extractant. ► The analytes were extracted by two extractants, i.e. MWCNTs and 1-octanol. ► CNTs-HF-SLPME was developed and compared with CNTs-HF-SPME and conventional HF-LPME. ► This new method was applied to enrich piroxicam and diclofenac in real water samples.
