Novel automated flow-based immunosensor for real-time measurement of the breast cancer biomarker CA15-3 in serum

► In this study, we developed a novel immunosensor for measurement of CA15-3 in serum. ► The sensor employed the kinetic-exclusion analysis using the KinExATM instrument. ► The sensor was able to accurately measure CA15-3 at concentrations as low as 0.2 IU/mL. ► The developed KinExA-based sensor is superior to the sandwich-ELISA. ► The sensor has a great value in accurate measurements of CA15-3.
