Development of a compact chemiluminescence system coupled with capillary electrophoresis for carbohydrate analysis

► An ultra-fast CL reaction of luminol, finished in 0.65 s, was discovered. ► The efficient CE-CL system was developed with a simplest interface, a cell. ► Negative CL peaks causing by carbohydrates were observed and explained. ► Indirect CE-CL determination of carbohydrates was accomplished for the first time. ► None derivatization or pretreatment was involved in the analysis.
