Direct growth and shape control of Cu2O film via one-step chemical bath deposition

► Nano-structured Cu2O film was obtained by one-step chemical bath deposition. ► The bargain glucose was used as reductant instead of expensively strong reductants. ► The effects of supersaturation dependent on reaction conditions on films were studied. ► The mechanism of shape evolution as a function of ion concentration was approached.
