The role of AMPK/mTOR/S6K1 signaling axis in mediating the physiological process of exercise-induced insulin sensitization in skeletal muscle of C57BL/6 mice
چکیده انگلیسی
► Exercise training improved glucose tolerance in insulin-resistant mice. ► Exercise training induced an elevated AMPK and decreased mTOR/S6K1 activity. ► Activation of AMPK inhibited Akt and S6K1 phosphorylation in C2C12 cells. ► S6K1 is responsible for the inhibition of SREBP1 by AMPK in C2C12 myotubes. ► Our data suggest that exercise training inhibits SREBP-1 through AMPK/mTOR pathway.
